Whether you’re just starting out or have been writing for years, we all need support, encouragement, and guidance. Consulting with someone else can bring clarity to your concerns and help you move forward with confidence.
If you feel like you would benefit from sharing your ideas with a trusted guide, sign up for a 50-minute coaching session. Also view our packages for multiple sessions!

Each session begins with a short grounding
meditation to focus our energy. Next, we will
set intentions and expectations for the session by talking through your concerns.
Each concern will require a slightly different
way forward, so we will find the next steps to address
them together. You will leave a coaching session
with a clear idea of what you can do to continue
making progress.
A session lasts 50 minutes.
An individual session costs $100 to be paid before the session date.
Purchase a bundle of 10 sessions for $800.
Participants in writing classes will recieve special offers.
For those on a tight budget, we can negotiate discounts of up to 50% off.

Please email rehema @ storyspringwriting.com to make an appointment. Once the new booking system is live, you will be able
to click on the button above which will redirect you to the online booking system.
When you book an appointment, you will get a confirmation
email with instructions. We ask you to share materials
at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment—more time is helpful.
This will allow Rehema space to creatively reflect on ways to assist you and your writing goals.
We start every session with meditation to ground ourselves
and calm the nervous system. If someone is too anxious to
meditate, we will focus on breathing to center the mind and
slow down the body.
After that, we will set a goal for the session. This will
allow us to talk through your writing concerns, assess
where support is needed, and solve the problems at hand. Attention will
be given to addressing the most central concerns. From there,
we will discuss reasonable solutions that can be
achieved within a realistic timeframe without unnecessary stress.
Writer’s block tends to take many distinct forms. It is important to assess
what kind of block we are facing. In my experience, there are different levels
of writer's block. Sometimes it means: “I don’t know what to do right now.”
Other times it can be expressed as: “I don’t know how to get started or keep
going on this project or task.” The most serious kind is an outcome of the
following sentiment: “I am utterly exhausted, and I don’t have the creative
energy to work.” Once we identify the underlying cause of the writer’s block,
we can figure out the appropriate next steps.
I have been writing and teaching writing for decades! After getting a Ph.D., I was a principal in Beijing for three years, and I am currently a professor at Michigan Technological University. A year ago, I published a young adult fantasy novel where the protagonist uses prayers, meditation, and mindfulness to overcome challenges. Currently, I am editing a collection of stories from 27 authors. These activities have enabled me to hone my writing coaching with real-world experience.
